CMF’s Psychiatry Network is for psychiatrists and mental health nurses in all branches of mental healthcare.

The Psychiatry Network aims to:

Encourage godly, supportive, and caring relationships between CMF doctors and nurses working in mental health across the UK and Ireland.

Encourage mental health workers better to integrate their identity as Christians and health professionals.

Encourage spiritual growth and godly wisdom among members.
4
Organise regular educational events, including difficult and controversial mental health issues, to encourage prayerful reflection and enhanced understanding from a biblical, Christian perspective.

Encourage and support one another in appropriate and sensitive discussions about faith.

Encourage a mind-body-soul resilience amongst practitioners, emphasising a balance of psychological, emotional, physical, and spiritual health approaches to work and personal life.

Facilitate a kind, tolerant, and non-judgemental network culture.

Actively promote an outward-looking approach, encouraging members to engage with wider professional bodies such as the Royal Colleges and seek opportunities for broader public engagement.
9
Nurture students, trainees, junior staff, and colleagues with special needs in their careers.
